June 2012
To be honest, I don’t really remember that much because it was so long ago (July 19, 2010).
But this is what I do remember:
He was really nice throughout the shoot, covered my gas expenses, listened to good music throughout the shoot. His daughter-in-law did the makeup and hair for the shoot. He didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all.
The only problem that I had was that it was a trade shoot and he never actually sent me pictures from the shoot, I just happened to find them online somewhere a couple of months later and had to ask him to send me a better version.
I also really really hate his watermark because I feel that it detracts from the overall quality of the image. I remember one day on Facebook that multiple people brought it up to him in a comment thread and he said that he always sends un-watermarked images to models. Once a large number of models stepped up (myself included) saying that wasn’t true and that we barely got the watermarked versions, he deleted the thread. :/
But he was a really nice guy, and I was very happy with the shoot until the confusion with the images happened. :)
We met through World Of Warcraft. :)
Both he and I played pretty religiously at the time and were in the same guild, and although I have screenshots of the two of us in raids together, we never talked.
At one point I was talking to my boyfriend at the time (our GM) and he decided to drag Mike (my current bf) into our channel and make it as awkward as possible because he had said he liked some of my pictures, lol. It ended out not working and the two of us thought our GM was being an ass.
Things essentially blew up with my relationship with our GM because he was emotionally abusive and too controlling… no fun. I had been hanging out online with Mike and there was hardly time where we weren’t running around in game doing H’s or he was showing me awesome places around Azeroth that I hadn’t seen before.
Our relationship just developed very organically from there. :)

May 2012
Thank you! Oh yes, Sheena is an amazing MUA. :)
She does a wonderful job with anything I’ve ever worked with her on.
Well, they don’t know me personally. They claim to be someone that booked me for a shoot and I showed up looking completely different from my images online.
When this photo came in, Raven asked, “Can you do a double?” Looking at this photo… thinking about that question… I was thinking, “Yes, I would really, really, really, REALLY like to do a double right now!” And I was NOT thinking about vectorized photo analysis. Hahaha.
To do this, I had to split the photos into two and flip Raven’s image (the hotty on the left with the pink hair). That way she was facing the right way (45 degrees to the left) for the vectorized image.
So she came out like this.
If you want to follow her, you can find Raven at http://ravenlefaye.tumblr.com/
Her hot blue-haired friend is Chelsea. Her half of the pic was facing the right way.

Daniel Davis, man of science. ;)
So far, in my 5 or so years of working as a model, I have counted myself lucky to not have any of the catastrophic horror stories I’ve heard many of my model friends share with me. Sure, I’ve had some less-than-ideal experiences; A photographer I just don’t click with, maybe one that is a bit too hands-on with adjusting wardrobe, or something along those lines. Maybe someone I’d warn models about if they asked and tell them to judge for themselves - But I’ve never worked with someone that I absolutely would not recommend under any circumstances or would even turn people away from. Until now.
I would not, and in fact would warn against, working with photographer Brett Michael Nelson.
His current MM profiles are:
though these are different from when we worked together so I wouldn’t doubt if he has been banned before and started new profiles and might do so again in the future. He also uses the name of his website “Afterlife Angel”.
My own personal experience basically involves him underhandedly taking photos beyond my discussed limits, for a trade shoot, and then posting them to a pay site (which I discovered myself months later). He has no permission or release form from me. I have not been compensated for their use. They portray me in a way that I feel is an invasion of privacy and I have requested that they be removed, though he refuses to respond. I can elaborate privately for anyone who has further questions.
I have also contacted quite a few girls from his site to see if they were aware of him selling their photos. Most were not and ALL of them had bad experiences with him. I have never encountered someone with 100% bad feedback. This photographer is clearly praying on models and I would like to see it stop.
I don’t want to go into much detail publicly but anyone who has questions, or has been contacted by Brett and would like further information about working with him, please feel free to message me.
Yeah… fuck this guy.
I just read my first hate blog about me today. It seriously made my day, I laughed so hard! >.<
Apparently I look nothing like my pictures and video (I must kick some ass at video editing), and Pissed Off Pistol Photography is a serial killer. Beware! :P
