The amusement I get from ModelMayhem messages is leaking into emails from the “contact” form on my site.
This made me lol.
Ok, so, a dude sent me a message via my site that said they were filming the music video for a song and wanted to know if I was interested. He didn’t include anything else. No link to the song, no link to his previous video work. Nothing. It seriously said this “Hey, we’re filming the video for a song. Are you interested? It would involve dancing. Email me back.” (Not those exact words, but that’s really all there was.)
So, I found his site and saw he was located in California, and sent him an email back saying that I would be unavailable because I am located in Gainesville, Florida (as it says on all of my various sites, including the one he contacted me through) and I had no plans to be anywhere near him anytime soon. I also said that even if I was somewhere near him I had no idea if I’d be interested, since he didn’t provide any info about the song/artist, and none of his previous video work.
His response?
“Chill out”
I lol’d.
Apparently a response explaining why something wasn’t going to work out means I need to chill out. I guess I’m the only one out there that thinks the professional thing to do upon receiving a message regarding work is to respond.
Oh, internets. You never cease to amuse me. <3
