RavenLeFaye: “The Beginning of “The Blacklist”“
So far, in my 5 or so years of working as a model, I have counted myself lucky to not have any of the catastrophic horror stories I’ve heard many of my model friends share with me. Sure, I’ve had some less-than-ideal experiences; A photographer I just don’t click with, maybe one that is a bit too hands-on with adjusting wardrobe, or something along those lines. Maybe someone I’d warn models about if they asked and tell them to judge for themselves - But I’ve never worked with someone that I absolutely would not recommend under any circumstances or would even turn people away from. Until now.
I would not, and in fact would warn against, working with photographer Brett Michael Nelson.
His current MM profiles are:
though these are different from when we worked together so I wouldn’t doubt if he has been banned before and started new profiles and might do so again in the future. He also uses the name of his website “Afterlife Angel”.
My own personal experience basically involves him underhandedly taking photos beyond my discussed limits, for a trade shoot, and then posting them to a pay site (which I discovered myself months later). He has no permission or release form from me. I have not been compensated for their use. They portray me in a way that I feel is an invasion of privacy and I have requested that they be removed, though he refuses to respond. I can elaborate privately for anyone who has further questions.
I have also contacted quite a few girls from his site to see if they were aware of him selling their photos. Most were not and ALL of them had bad experiences with him. I have never encountered someone with 100% bad feedback. This photographer is clearly praying on models and I would like to see it stop.
I don’t want to go into much detail publicly but anyone who has questions, or has been contacted by Brett and would like further information about working with him, please feel free to message me.
Yeah… fuck this guy.
